JOB DESCRIPTION:

Operate charter buses to transport passengers for trips and tours. Drivers must follow predetermined routes to collect and drop off passengers. They may also make unscheduled stops if requested by tour guides or passengers, since drivers serve at the convenience of the tour group. Drivers are responsible for the safety of the passengers and must observe all traffic laws. As an employee of Awesome Charters and Tours, drivers also serve as customer service representatives and may act as program directors. The job requires drivers to operate vehicles for one or several days, depending on how long the tour is scheduled. Drivers inspect the coach for safety and ensure that maintenance is performed at scheduled intervals.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Primary Responsibilities

·      Technical knowledge of major vehicle systems and diesel engines is required.

·      Have previous fleet experience and be familiar with diesel and gasoline systems

·      Perform scheduled maintenance in timely manner.

·      Perform repairs and maintenance of all types Bus and Motor Coach equipment

·      Inspect buses for worn or broken parts, and replace or repair parts, engines, transmissions, brakes, A/C, exhaust and electrical systems.

·      Diagnose electrical problems with use of laptops and other programs

·      Change oil, tires, batteries, and lubricate equipment

·      Perform glass and windshield repairs/replacement

·      Make recommendations for repairs

·      Record keeping, reporting, and maintaining the vehicle service logs

·      Comply with all safety and work procedures

Educational / Experience Requirements

·      Valid Commercial Driver’s License (with air brake and passenger endorsements).

·      Minimum of 3 years experience repairing Motor Coaches

·      Experience with Electrical Diagnostics, Hydraulics, Braking systems, Drivelines, Air systems, Steering mechanisms and suspensions, Coach HVAC systems

·      Ability to follow proper safety procedures and site rules

·      Organized, thorough, and able to complete paperwork timely

·      Ability to work well and communicate with others and communicate
